The British Telecom International Twinning Federation (BTITF) is the national organisation supporting local twinning activities between BT Employees and those of other telecommunications companies across Europe and the world. BTITF is a part of the wider Eurojumelages organisation, itself a federation of member countries and organisations. This is a combination of the former Jumelages Europeans des Post Telegraph et Telephon (JEPTT) and the Union Internationale des Jumelages Post Telegraph et Telephon (UIJPTT).
BTITF is open to BT employees, retired BT employees or agencies/contractors working on behalf of BT, their partners and friends.
The aims of Eurojumelages are briefly defined as follows:
- To promote social and professional contacts thereby leading to personal friendships between P&T employees and their families from different countries having a mutual interest in either the postal or telecommunications business.
- To encourage an understanding of the cultural and social activities and an appreciation of the business practices within the framework of a common profession of the twinned locations and of other countries in general.
LANGUAGE COURSES
Eurojumelages runs courses in many languages for beginners and for those wishing to brush up on their language skills.
As part of this programme BT ITF organises courses in English.
